The global aviation industry must reach net zero by 2050. The only viable near-term solution requires no new aircraft, no new airports. Just a drop-in renewable fuel. That fuel is SAF.
SAF is jet fuel produced from renewable sources including biogas, agricultural waste, and organic matter rather than fossil hydrocarbons. It is a 100% drop-in replacement for conventional jet fuel and works seamlessly in every aircraft flying today, with zero infrastructure upgrades required.
BioFlight will use proven Fischer-Tropsch gas-to-liquid technology to convert renewable natural gas into SAF with an industry-leading carbon intensity score. Our approach is de-risked by avoiding unproven feedstocks and experimental processes.
BioFlight is a renewable fuels developer, owner, and operator. We are building infrastructure across three fuel streams, with sustainable aviation fuel leading our growth thesis.
We develop and own RNG projects that capture biogas from agricultural waste, municipal wastewater, and organic matter, converting what would be a potent greenhouse gas into a clean, pipeline-quality fuel. RNG also serves as the primary feedstock for our SAF and RD facilities.
Renewable gas-to-liquid plants can be purpose-designed and operated to serve the rapidly growing demand for Renewable Diesel. RD is a direct, drop-in replacement for petroleum diesel in ground transport, marine, and industrial applications — and represents a significant standalone market opportunity that BioFlight's platform is built to address.
SAF is our core brand and growth engine. The aviation sector faces the most acute decarbonization challenge with the fewest alternatives, creating a structural supply gap that BioFlight is built to fill. Our first SAF production facility is strategically located to serve major Canadian aviation hubs via existing fuel distribution infrastructure.
BioFlight is a development company that creates value at every stage of the project lifecycle: near-term through project development, medium-term from renewable fuel operations, and long-term through compounding avoided emissions.
We identify, structure, and advance renewable fuel projects from concept through permitting and final investment decision.
BioFlight retains meaningful equity in each project special purpose vehicle alongside project equity partners, building a portfolio of long-duration cash-flowing assets.
Each operational project generates recurring contracted revenue and EBITDA. BioFlight often retains buy-out options to acquire full ownership, dramatically increasing long-term shareholder value.
Building long-term greenhouse gas emission reductions across the BioFlight renewable platform
Our flagship SAF and RD facility is to be located in Sarnia, Ontario, strategically positioned near the Dawn Hub, North America's largest RNG storage and distribution centre. Feedstock is delivered by pipeline with direct access to major Canadian aviation fuel distribution infrastructure. Technology is licensed from a global leader with 40+ years of biofuel process experience.
Large-scale hub-and-spoke manure-fed RNG facilities designed to produce over 1.8M MMBtu per year with an ultra-low carbon intensity score of (160) gCO₂e/MJ. A conditional offtake agreement with a leading international RNG buyer has been executed.
The completion of a gas-to-liquid technical demonstration in partnership with OxEon Engergy. The plant identied execution risks, refined operating assumptions, and creates continuity from Salt Lake City into Terminal 1 and future platform assets.
A pilot project converting biogas from Barrie's municipal wastewater treatment plant into pipeline-quality RNG. 100% BioFlight-owned, this project is a data-rich proof of concept for scalable municipal biogas capture across Canada. 35% federal funding committed. BioStream RNG upgrading system by Ivys AD (an Enbridge portfolio company).
US Dairy RNG: A dairy-manure-fed RNG project with an ultra-low carbon intensity profile. Preliminary feasibility is underway.
Terminal 2 (British Columbia): A second gas-to-liquid SAF facility, targeted at approximately twice the scale of Terminal 1. Located in British Columbia, where provincial carbon credit programs provide an additional revenue premium.
Fischer-Tropsch synthesis has been in industrial use for over 70 years. We have partnered with a global technology leader, eliminating deep-tech risk from our project economics.
By building with project specific equity partners, BioFlight maximizes its portfolio footprint without concentrating risk. Each project is structured as an independent SPV.
Offtake agreements are secured before construction commences. Wildcat RNG has a conditional offtake agreement, making it cash-flow positive without material exposure to changes in carbon credit markets.
Our Wildcat RNG project achieves a preliminary CI of (160.6) gCO₂e/MJ, one of the lowest in the industry, driving maximum credit value under CFR and RFS regulatory programs.
